THE IDEA BEHIND THE GARAGE.
The Unbuilt Garage started with a simple question:
What if the cars we wish existed could be designed before anyone decided to build them?
Founded by Claudio Cristea, The Unbuilt Garage is an independent automotive design studio exploring the space between automotive heritage, unrealised ideas and what could come next.
Each project begins with an idea worth exploring. It is developed into a coherent vehicle, brought to life visually, and ultimately put in front of an audience.
Because a concept becomes more interesting when people want it to exist.
What began as a childhood fascination with cars eventually found its home in Switzerland — and became The Unbuilt Garage.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
THE UNBUILT GARAGE IS AN INDEPENDENT AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN STUDIO EXPLORING SPECULATIVE VEHICLES THROUGH DESIGN, VISUALISATION AND STORYTELLING.
Projects may reinterpret automotive heritage, explore unrealised ideas or create entirely original automotive concepts.
The objective goes beyond producing renders. The purpose is to make an automotive possibility tangible enough that people can see it, discuss it and react to it.
The Unbuilt Garage is an independent automotive design studio driven by imagination and shaped by a distinctly Swiss approach to creation.
We believe emotion and discipline belong together. Every idea is questioned, every line has a purpose, and every detail is refined until the car feels coherent as a whole.

WHAT IS A REVIVAL?
A REVIVAL begins with an automotive icon and asks what it could become today. Not a replica. Not a restomod. A new car shaped by the DNA of the original.
ARE TUG CARS REAL?
The designs are real. The vision is real. The cars currently exist as complete automotive design projects rather than production vehicles.
The ambition is simple: make them convincing enough that you wish they were real.
CAN A TUG CAR BECOME REAL?
Yes. A TUG concept can become the starting point for a physical build, provided the required engineering, development, homologation and manufacturing partners are brought together.
CAN I COMMISSION THE UNBUILT GARAGE?
Yes. TUG is open to selected collaborations with private collectors and automotive partners who want to create something that does not yet exist.
